Beautiful women from 24 countries were united in Durban in February 2009 to compete for the Miss India Worldwide pageant. The event was more of a talent contest and less of a “beauty pageant”. More importantly it was the union of girls from different countries who came together to share memories for a lifetime on and off the stage. The true winners were the girls, their families who supported them throughout (some of them accompanied them on their own expence) and individual country organizers whose efforts were evident throughout the 7 days of festivities in Durban. In the end it was a true celebration of cross culture world of today.
The contest was won by the best talent winner, Nikkitasha Marwaha, from U.S.A, 1st runner up was Kanchan Verma, Australia and 2nd runner up was Sunaina Bhoendie from Holland.
Miss India Worldwide 2010 was held on 27 March 2010 at the International Conventional Centre in Durban. Up to 30 countries took part in the event this year.
