Inspired by the traditional Rajasthan village woman, the show commenced with Anita’s prêt label IINTERPRET Taking the exclusive journey to Jaipur one step forward, the next brand to revisit Jaipur was ANITA DONGRE – TIMELESS; which delves into the heritage of Indian textiles and puts together traditional weaves and skills from master weavers all over the country to create styles that are classic, feminine and truly eternal.  The use of organic cotton, vegetable dyes and hand block prints not only make the garment easy and non-hazardous for the skin but are equally stylish and glamorous to be worn for a wedding or any such occasions.

The traditional silver zardozi work along with Mughal mukaish and gotta make the styles time-honored and truly timeless.  The Lakme Fashion Week 2010 Timeless collection comprised of a range of Ghagras, Chudidars and elegant sarees.  The colour palette consists of deeper tones of Brick Red, Indigo Blue and Black.  Making the collection more conventional, was the exquisite silver jewellery inspired by a traditional Rajasthan woman by Amrapali.

In Anita’s words
“While creating this collection I have specifically kept the Anita Dongre client in mind, who is a modern woman who loves her dresses and looks forward to wear both the contemporary and conventional styles with equal ease and élan”.
