Out of the 26 countries which performed at the Miss India Worldwide 2011 in Dubai, Farzana Parveen, representing UAE, fusion dance was probably the best performance.

The top 10 contestants on the final night on 14 May had to perform the talent again in front of the judges. Farzana made it to the top 5 on the final night.

Former Miss India Australia, Vimala Raman, will be featuring in a new international film DAM 999 to be released later in 2011. The film was screened at the CANNES Film Festival on 11 May 2011. Continue

After 3 consecutive years being hosted in South Africa, twice of which in Durban, this time Miss India Worldwide is being held in the Middle East for the first time.

This year is celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Miss India Worldwide, a talent oriented pageant for women of Indian origin residing all over the world.

The Talent Night was celebrated on 12 May in Dubai at the Crowne Plaza Hotel with a cross section of talent performances ranging from Bharat Natyam to Karate, Singing to flute playing. It was a true representaion of multi talented Indian women from all around the world.

Miss India Australia 2011 is 19 years old Ankita Ghazan, from Sydney.

Ankita was selected, amongst many applicants, on the basis of extensive interviews and talent auditions which took place in 2010/11 in different capital cities in Australia. The talent auditions in Sydney were filmed including screen tests as well as photo shoots which took place in Melbourne as well.

All the  talent showreels was sent to Bollywood  to be viewed by industry professionals including film directors, producers and talent management gurus in the world’s most thriving entertainment industry. Continue
