The 4th edition of Kingfisher Premium Sunday Soul Sante is an effort to provide artistic freedom to all - as one of the events in Bangalore which is gaining popularity with the youth, this Sunday bazaar brings together diverse cultures on a single platform - a fun carnival and a market festival rolled into one. Some interesting attractions of this midday to midnight carnival included a lively flea market, electrifying performances by bands like Bicycle Days, Psychophonic, By Two Blues and Ninja right through the day. The high point of the evening was a fascinating high street fashion capsule choreographed by Bangalore’s fashion guru, Prasad Bidappa.
Parents joined in a day of leisure while their young wards dabbled in some creative fun with colors, painting at the Art Corner.
Sunday Soul Sante is a concept which hopes to encourage Indian culture, craftsmanship, artists and heritage. It brings to life all things Indian.
Commenting on the event, Asha Rao, Bangalore’s well known name in entertainment and wholesome, fun camaraderie, said, “The idea is to portray India as a trend setter and showcase things that are classic and fashion forward. We have invited people to spend the day, enjoy the music, basically let their hair down. It’s all about having fun and relaxing.”
The modern India, especially in the metros, is a mix of young dynamic culture which is free to express their western tastes but at the same time rooted well in the great Indian culture.
