Jaipur, Rajasthan, India -Â A press conference held on 10 August, 2010, at The Grand, saw the unveiling of the designers and sponsors for the Blenders Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week (BPJIFW).
The SFC team and advisors to BPJIFW - Gaurav Sharma, CE0, SFC - India, Atul Pandey, partner, Designer Rahul Jain, advisor, Designer Puneet Nanda, advisor and BPJIFW - show director Liza Varma were present to launch the first edition of Blenders Pride Jaipur International Fashion Week.
Film actress, Anjana Sukhani, has been chosen as the Brand Ambassador for BPJIFW. She was present to lend support and celebrate the launch of the most awaited fashion week to hit Jaipur this September!
BPJIFW Festive Winter’10 which will be held from 15th September to 19th September 2010 at Hotel Clarks Amer , Jaipur will witness 25 Indian and 3 international designers and 12 major corporates as sponsors, come together to set new trends in fashion and business in the pink city!
BPJIFW endeavours to promote, support and nurture an enigmatic list of budding designers along with collections of established designers who have shown on Indian as well as international runways and have made a mark or created a spark in the industry!
Five new young designers will debut the ramp for the ‘New Designer’ category along with 10 ‘Emerging Designers’, three international designers and 10 established Indian designers.
BPJIFW will have a grand opening with mesmerizing collections showcased by designer duo RAHUL AND GUNJAN, with Anjana Sukhani walking for them as the show stopper.
Riding high on the achievements of the previous season, the Advisory Board members of Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW), India’s premiere fashion and trade event, met yesterday to select the Gen Next and Emerging Designers for the upcoming LFW Winter / Festive 2010. This year marks another milestone for LFW as the Gen Next platform completes 5 years of successful contribution to the Business of Fashion. Building on its consistent season over season growth in applications, LFW shows remarkable growth in the number of Gen Next & Emerging designer applications this season. Continue
