Former Miss India Australia, Vimala Raman, who is a house hold name in South Indian films, is now going to enter the mainstream Indian Bollywood. Vimala Raman is a model and trained Bharatanatyam dancer. Vimala Raman appeared in over 16 south Indian films including Poi, Time, Pranayakalam, Sooryan , Nasarani, Raaj, Calcutta News, Gayaam 2 and recently an International production Dam 999. Miss India Australia 2011 is 19 years old Ankita Ghazan, from Sydney.

Ankita was selected, amongst many applicants, on the basis of extensive interviews and talent auditions which took place in 2010/11 in different capital cities in Australia. The talent auditions in Sydney were filmed including screen tests as well as photo shoots which took place in Melbourne as well.

All the  talent showreels was sent to Bollywood  to be viewed by industry professionals including film directors, producers and talent management gurus in the world’s most thriving entertainment industry. Continue
