Vimala Raman is a model and trained Bharatanatyam dancer. Vimala Raman appeared in over 16 south Indian films including Poi, Time, Pranayakalam, Sooryan , Nasarani, Raaj, Calcutta News, Gayaam 2 and recently an International production Dam 999. This year is celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Miss India Worldwide, a talent oriented pageant for women of Indian origin residing all over the world.

The Talent Night was celebrated on 12 May in Dubai at the Crowne Plaza Hotel with a cross section of talent performances ranging from Bharat Natyam to Karate, Singing to flute playing. It was a true representaion of multi talented Indian women from all around the world.

Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarette of Mexico inaugurated Asian Academy of Arts on 5 February 2011 at Marwah Studios in Film City, Noida, India. Fashion designer Sanjana Jon was the guest of honor.

Navarette along with Jon is touring India as a part of a Global promotion exercise for social causes like saving the girl child among others. She will, in the process of promoting the cause of Miss Universe.
